The first step is a consultation to assess your needs and allow us to prepare a quote for your project. This is a free consultation with no obligation on your part. The quote includes 3 main items: Price, Time, and Product.

The price is usually a fixed fee, but if desired can be hourly (at a rate of $100/hr). The time estimate includes final due date as well as benchmarks for the items below. The product consists of the 3D illustrations or renderings, with a specified number of views or a length of animation, plus the size or resolution of the final images.

The next step is to collect documents from you describing the project. We accept 2D drawings in any form, digital or hard-copy. Any scanning or other work needed to prepare the material as suitable for 3D modeling will be included in the quote.

Once we have the documentation, we will begin work on the 3D model. This is the fun part! As soon as we have prepared the model we can send you selected preliminary views. Then, with your feedback, we can determine the final views for rendering.

Our goal is to provide you the resources to best understand your project and to convey that understanding in the most direct way to your client or market – visualized in 3D.

Pricing Examples:

(The fees below based on a rate of $100/hour)

A basic massing model, interior study, or site context model may take as little as 3 hours to complete. Basic price range: $300 - $800

Photo-realistic renderings with an intermediate level of detail and some site or interior furnishings may take 12 to 20 hours to complete. Medium price range: $1200 - $2,000

Watercolor style illustrations may take anywhere from 4 hours to 3 days to complete depending on the level of detail and complexity of the model. Architectural illustration price range: $500 - $2,400

Renderings with a high level of detail may require 4 to 8 days of modeling time. This does not include time for additional services such as studies or drafting. Detailed price range: $3,200 - $6,400

Animations can be created from any level of model, and may take as little as 6 hours up to 20 hours depending on the length and complexity. Movie price range: $600 - $2,000 in addition to model.

Rendered animations (with lighting and reflections) take additional resources to process. Price range: $1,500 - $3,000 per minute of full HD, 24fps animation.
